Good morning y’all!
Well today marks the beginning of my summer classes of O-chem until August 10th…BUM BUM BUUUUMMMM. I go to class Monday-Thursday from 10:00-4:30 every day with labs thrown in there too YUCK. BUT I’m so glad to be getting it over with, even though it’s been super tough getting back into the routine after vacation.
Soooooooo about that new blog I spilled about yesterday…
It’s mainly gonna focus on:
- fitness accomplishments (like hikes/PR’s/workouts etc)
- goals and my bucket list
- progress with my trainer and meal prep
- splash of randomness every so often
I guess my new blog will become sort of a journal if anything else– I want to be able to have tangible accomplishments and post worthwhile things rather than just fitting into the status quo of “healthy living blog”.
But here’s the clincher– I don’t think I’m going to be posting as often. Stepping back during my vacation showed me how beautiful life is outside of taking pictures of food or thinking about recipes or blog hits etc
Don’t get me wrong, I’ll still be reading and commenting on all of your pages, I just want to post when I feel like it rather than feeling compelled, ya know?
You may also notice less ED talk on my new page……..why is that? Am I ashamed of my past? Do I want to hide it? NOT at all! To be honest, I am tired of giving that stupid bitch any of my time anymore so I don’t feel like she even needs to be brought up. It’s kinda like Voldemort– you just don’t say that name haha Granted, I may have tough days every now and then, especially since I’m going to be pushing my limits with my trainer (STARTING THIS FRIDAY WOO!) but I don’t really want to harp on it a whole lot.
I’d rather focus on the positives of my life and keep progressing towards being fully recovered.
I put up my Half Dome hike recap on there to start off my new blog with a bang!
So from now on, you can find me over at The Freckled Lifter! Update yo google readers if you want! I’d love to have y’all along for the ride. You’re all such huge inspirations to me and you keep me truckin. I feel so honored to know each and every one of you!
So here’s to new beginnings! Hope y’all have a great week ahead! <3

Yay for starting fresh! I am too and it feels great! Good luck to you.. I know you’ll reach all your goals! <3 GOD BLESS!
Good luck with the new ‘positive’ fresh blog! I have just found your blog now and will certainly be following you
Well hmmm, this is my first time at your blog, guess I’ll follow you to the new one!
good for you, moving on from the past….I think it’s ok to not give the past any time in your present, it’s good you’re learning so young! Keep up with school, from a 30 something who still hasn’t finished college, you’ll be glad it over and done!
That’s exciting about the new blog! I can’t wait to read about more of your accomplishments
xoxo!
Love that picture! I llike the sound of the new blog and think it’s great you’re not mentioning the ED so much any more; like you say, if it’s not part of your life any more
Praise God! I’m excited to read future posts! Thanks for sharing your faith. It’s rare these days!
I think it’s GREAT that you’re starting a new blog! I think a huge part of writing a blog is making sure that you’re doing it for yourself above all else– and what better way to make that happen than by having a more specific and uplifting area of focus!
Are you going to still write in this one at all?
I don’t think so, I kinda just want a new beginning, ya know??
Thanks so much for the support my friend!!
I’ve been feeling the exact same way – hence my lack of blog visiting. Even when I do read now sometimes I don’t comment. I used to blog before back in 2008 and I ended up quitting completely because I just crashed. Life isn’t nearly as fun when you have to take a picture of it – I just wanted to live it.
Things are different for me now due to being a mom – we mom’s tend to take pics of everything
lol Although, I’ve stopped bloggin over the weekends and only post when I feel like it.
Congrats on your new blog and I’m so happy you are taking more time for yourself. Good luck in chem – that sounds BRUTAL
What an exciting announcement, I’m so excited to check it out, and update my google reader! It sounds like you really spent time thinking about the direction you want to take with it, that is great
Good luck on your new journey!
I know you can reach all your goals.
I look forward to checking out the new blog.
Have fun with it!
New blog!!!!!!! YAHOO!!!! I love the name of it! I actually really like reading about your progress and accomplishments a lot so I am super pumped about this! I hate that B*tch too so she can go to H-E-double hockey sticks! You are awesome and can’t wait to keep up with you!
Thanks sista!!
SOO exciting girl! Cant wait!! Id love to hear more about what the Lord is teaching you and the fun stuff you do too!!!!!! Life is so full of adventures! Love you!
I love you MORE girl, we sisters of Christ gotta stick together, eh?
yay!! love it!
This is so exciting! I love that you don’t give ‘that bitch’ (aka the ED) anymore of your time
For me that was a huge stepping point as well….it really opened the doors to a new life when i decided I am separate from this ‘thing’. Heading on over to read your recap now
Ill follow you over the change but can you check out my blog I’m new!
I loveee this idea!!! You are awesome. I love the new blog name, I love your reasoning behind why you aren’t going to talk about your ED anymore, and I love that you are going to blog when YOU want to. Once I stopped blogging every day I felt a sense of relief. Blogging every few days is much easier! I’m off to go follow the freckled lifter!
Woooo! Can’t wait to read the new blog!
I totally get what you’re saying =) At some point it feels good to leave the ED behind & make it less a part of who you are, you know?
Good luck with o-chem! I found it easier than inorgranic. You’ll do great I’m sure!
Updating mine now! I would miss you seriously without getting to hear at least some of what you are up to. I think taking a step in a new direction is freaking amazing. I think an ED will always be in our past but like you, I don’t want my blog to be consumed by it. So happy for you!
I’m excited for your new blog and OF COURSE will keep reading you!
You’re such an awesome person,really – so how couldn’t I?!
I will for sure be reading your new blog–it sounds so fun and all about stuff you love, which is how a blog should be! And focusing on the positive is always a good thing
I am so excited for you! You gotta do what’s right for you lady, and by posting about your passions and goals I hope it will help get the silly ED out of your life and make super progress! This will be a great fresh start for you!xo
I like the sound of this new blog! Positive, supportive and all that good jazz. Looking forward to seeing what you put together!
I love this!!! I think your new blog will be awesome
That’s basically what I do with mine. It’s pretty random! It’s so much better to just talk about what you want, when you want. Your blog is great and will still be great
AMEN!!! I can not say much I agree with your “giving ED less attention” comment. It is so true- if we dwell on the past and keep reminding ourselves and others of the power ED had in our past, it will just keep haunting us. BUT, if we move forward, realize we are forgiven and redeemed, and seek to grow healthier and stronger, then nothing will stand in our way! LOVE IT and LOVE your new blog idea!
Now go knock out some sets, you freckled lifter, you!
Adding your new blog to my reader right now!!! I’m so excited for you! Can’t wait to read more. Love u girlie!! <3
Thank you!!!! Love you more sista!!
That’s so exciting about your new blog! I totally understand where you’re coming from. I used to talk about my history with my ED a lot on my blog, but I stopped about a year ago when I realized that’s not who I am anymore! It’s so freeing to release all ties to it like that!
I can’t wait to read your new blog and your new perspective on life. <3
This sounds like a GREAT idea and I can’t wait to read more about your trip as well as progress with your trainer! Whenever I feel like I am getting too bothered about not posting enough/blog hits, I have to remind myself to take a step back. Blogging should be a source of enjoyment, not a cause of additional stress!
Amen!!
congrats sweetheart! I love the new start! this is going to be amazing for you! so fresh! love you xx
Thanks Meg!!!
the freckled lifter—ahhhhh I love it! such a cute name! can’t wait to follow it! I think it’s great that you’re focusing on the positives and giving blogging a bit of a backseat. I never feel compelled to post anything, and it really works for me
Thanks girl! I’m looking forward to giving it a backseat and having less stress
I am SO EXCITED for you and your new blog!!! I think the more focused focus is great. I did kind of the same thing when I started my new one, I wanted a fresh start and didn’t want to take pictures of my food or talk about my ED a lot and I definitely don’t fit the “healthy living blog” mold….I just wanted to talk about my training (mostly so I can look back and see the progress I’ve made), and whatever things pop into my head…which normally don’t have anything to do with ED anymore and that’s a GOOD thing. Anyway. Sorry for babbling. I’m excited for you and to stalk ummmmm i mean follow your new blog! And I fully support the focus and the less posting – life is meant to be LIVED, not talked about
YESS!!! So glad I have someone else out there who understands. You rock Kate!!
