BIG thanks and Conscious Box Review!

Happy Friday friends!

Thank you guys SO much for all the amazing support about my decision to see a sports nutritionist. I feel so incredibly blessed to not only be able to have the opportunity to see one, but to know such FABULOUS people like you! Your comments and tips mean the WORLD to me!!! I’m so excited for the appointment this afternoon, I can’t wait to tell y’all how it goes :)

But for now I have a wicked review for ya!

~~~~~
A few days ago, I was sent an incredible box filled to the brim with treasures. It DEFINITELY provided a fantastic study break ;)
(note–the following review is my sole opinion, they didn’t compensate me for any of the words you’re about to read)
Conscious Box is a monthly subscription service focusing on sustainability, environmental stewardship, and social responsibility. All of their products are vegetarian, as well! I mean, who wouldn’t want a mystery goodie box filled with healthy food and treasures arriving on their doorstep every month? :D
After finding their website, I contacted them about reviews. Jesse swiftly gave a friendly reply and offered to send out an April box! I was BEYOND excited to see what it would include.
the loot
In April’s box:
  • Planet dishwashing soap
  • Glob natural paint
  • Cloud 9 Raw Chocolate Fudge
  • Climb On! skin cream
  • generationMe detergent
  • Original Himalayan Crystal Salt
  • Parsley Plus disinfectant spray
  • Juice Beauty facial peel
  • Oogie’s Gourmet popcorn
  • SeedBallz (balls you just add water to that’re filled with the seeds of flowers and herbs)
  • Natural Joy Beauty lip glaze
  • Groovy Planet doll
  • Sparklehearts conditioner
  • Bare Body Soaps
  • Clandestino chocolate covered bananas
  • Team Green trading cards (with a cool butterfly on it heehee)
  • coupons galore
Of course I had to dive into the foodz right off the bat ;)
Although I’m not a huge chocolate fan, I AM a fan of bananas, so I ripped open that Clandestino package like a wild baboon. OH MY GOSH it tasted amazing! And even better–the only ingredients are bananas and chocolate. I saved some to have after a workout, I bet it would give some great energy.
I also tried the Cloud Nine fudge–that bad boy was super rich. A little too chocolatey for my tastebuds (yes, you can shun me chocolate lovers), but I’m sure people who are bonkers for chocolate would love it. It’s 100% vegan and organic, and it’s made with coconut nectar, too!
Then, I tested the Climb On skin cream. That stuff smells like heaven and really helped my dry cuticles! Love it!
When I told my mom about all the cleaning products, she insisted I share. She says the dish soap made the kitchen smell fresh and pretty haha
Everything was so neat, but, my favorite thing in the package (beside the seedball things) was the wee little Groovy Planet doll man. I loved the little Guatemalen parable/legend behind it. I put him under my pillow…just hope he won’t suffocate in my hair haha ;)
So if you’re interested in receiving this awesome monthly package filled with earth-friendly, vegetarian goodies, check out their website to learn more!
Thanks again Conscious Box for letting me sample such fabulous, more unknown products! :)
Hope you all have a glorious weekend, I’ll be back on Monday with a full recap of the sports nutritionist appointment! :)
Have you ever heard of Conscious Box? Have you tried any of these products?
  1. I used to be *obsessed* with worry dolls! My grandpa was a geographer who specialized in Central America, and always brought me a new box when he’d return from Guatemala. I slept with them under my pillow every night until I was 15 (I even took them to summer camp, ha!), and then one day, out of the blue, decided that they weren’t working their magic anymore. :-p I think acquiring new ones is a fantastic excuse to visit Guatemala (or sign up for Conscious Box), don’t you? ;)
    I can’t wait to hear about your meeting the the sports nutritionist! I’ve also had a difficult time digesting grains, which has made maintaining my weight while endurance training and weight lifting a bit of a challenge. I’m starting a new meal plan Monday, so we’ll be embarking on this adventure together! <3
    • that’s so cool about your history with the worry dolls! And I think we may be twins, I wish you the best of luck with your meal plan too friend :)
      Have a great rest of your weekend!
  2. CANNOT wait for the recap, babe! I already emailed you, but just know that I am thinking of you ALL OF THE TIME :) I love you and am proud of you <3 Good things are coming!
    P.s. I smiled when you said "too chocolatey" :) Makes us even more twins :) I haven't tried the bar, but I have definitely spit those words out of my mouth before ;) I am just not a crazy chocolate person, but chocolate protein powder is always good, right?;) hehe
  3. Cool! SO much neat stuff you got in that box!! I would have gone through all the food stuff first too, of course! This weekend is my friends birthday, so I’ll be attending a party for her and then just taking it easy. Have an awesome weekend girl!xo
  4. That conscious box thingie sounds absolutely awesome! Too bad I’m not living in the US,I’d order it right away elsewise!
    I’ve had five or six of those doll people when I was a child; my mom gave them to me bacause I’ve always been an unsure and anxious girl. I loved the idea of them carrying my sorrows away,and they’re so cute,too! :)
  5. wow this is an awesome box!! I’ve got to get me one of those :)
    That chocolate….oh gosh…I want it. No, I NEED it!
  6. What an awesome box of goodies!!! Those treats sounds amazing, and I definitely want to try that skin cream, I love new little things like that. So funny that you got the worry dolls — I have a pair of those in my office actually! The ones we have came in a little box, and they say to tell your worries to them and then put them back in their little box… With all of the stress at work sometimes, I like to think those little guys actually are helping out!
  7. That is so cool! I used to date a fella from guatemala and he told me about those little dolls, among other interesting stories. Good luck at the nutritionist today–very exciting!
  8. What a cool concept! I hae never heard of this before… but am quite intrigued and going to check this out for myself :) I would have dug into the food stuff first too haha.
    This weekend I am doing some volunteering and then seeing my dad and stepmom on Sunday! With some last-minute homework assignments throw in there
    Have a stellar weekend love :)
  9. What an amazing delivery to receive! So cool that you got a range of products. Not just snacks but cleaning products and dolls!
    You triggered an awesome memory for me. My home town has had, for as long I remember, a Traid Aid shop. They are basically fair trade stores. I remember my sisters all bought/were given ‘worry dolls’ from the shop. As an anxious person my whole life, I remember putting the dolls under my pillow, and it really worked! :-)
  10. Good luck with your nutritionist appointment- can’t wait to read how it goes! This Conscious Box sounds awesome- I would have dug into the choc covered bananas first too…and probably dipped them in peanut butter as I went along :) ! Have a great weekend!!
  11. omg the worry dolls!! My mom brought me and my sister a bunch of those when she went to Guatemala, I don’t know where they are now but it’s kinda comforting knowing there’s a little dude under your pillow soaking up all your worries by osmosis…. :-P I’ve seen the Conscious Box thing before and it looks crazy awesome, I really want to get a subscription to it! and GOOD LUCK at the nutritionists this afternoon!
